Florida Man Says He Stabbed Woman ‘Because he wanted to’
NAPLES, Fla. – On Sunday at a Walgreens on Airport Road South in Naples when Kenneth Bryan, 34, was arrested for stabbing a woman in an unprovoked attack, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 2:05 p.m., deputies responded to a reported battery at the Walgreens.
The victim, a woman, noticed Bryan, of Naples, following her as she headed back to her car.
Despite her attempts to hasten her pace, Bryan caught up with her, grabbing and stabbing her twice in the back with a 5-inch serrated knife. Initially, the victim mistook the attack for punches.
A Walgreens employee witnessed the assault and promptly called for assistance.
Deputies arriving at the scene found Bryan, who allegedly confessed to the stabbing.
Although the victim survived the attack and received on-site treatment, she declined transportation to a hospital.
The weapon used in the assault was reportedly broken into two pieces.
Kenneth Bryan now faces charges of aggravated battery.
